Description

This publication defines what a safe water supply is and discusses problems from unsafe water supplies, how water becomes contaminated, sampling and testing of water supplies, bacteriological and chemical standards, and how to develop a safe water source. Diagrams of dug or bored, driven, and drilled wells are included, as well as information on disinfecting wells, springs and storage reservoirs, and treatment for physical, chemical, and biological problems.
