In-storage drying with supplemental heat discusses moisture content for harvesting, desired final moisture content, effect of heat on relative humidity, bin loading rates, types of fans, operating the drying system, size of bins and fans, depth of fills, perforated floors, weight loss in drying, cost of drying, controls, stirring devices, loading and unloading bind, wiring and motor protection, air ducts, and moisture testing. Other drying methods are also addressed, such as solar-heat drying bins.
