Weather, with its uncertainties, frustrations and occasional periods of violence, has been talked about since communications among humans began. However, the study of atmospheric science is quite new. Knowledge of what causes a raindrop to drop has been with us for only a couple of decades and scientists are the first to admit that much yet remains to be learned.
