Description
Most farmers would probably prefer to leave corn stalks or small-grain stubble in the fields after harvest. That's the best way to trap winter moisture and prevent wind erosion, provide a little cover and food for wildlife, save some plant nutrients, and improve soil tilth for the next crop.
