The table of contents lists minutes of the South Dakota Academy of Science and the South Dakota Junior Academy, and a membership list. The presidential address, titled Is Independent Research Dying?, was given by Ernest J. Hugghins.

The following paper was a junior academy award-winning paper: Mirrored Moving Color Shapes and Their Induced Halos as Seen by the Color Blind (pure research in a field of science that to my knowledge has not been explored before) by Elizabeth Stilwell.
