Abstract

Please be advised that the names listed in the program do not represent official confirmation of meeting the graduation requirements. The 120th Annual Commencement will begin with introductions by University President Peggy Gordon Miller. Honorary marshals for the event are Dr. Georgia W. Crews, Associate Professor of Nutrition, Food Science, and Hospitality, and Dr. Corliss L. Johnson, Professor Emeritus of Music. Delivering the commencement address titled "Living, Loving, and Learning as a Jackrabbit - Making a Difference in the World Today" will be Clinton Powell, a candidate for graduation. Dr. Carol J. Peterson, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, will acknowledge faculty and student honors, including W. Carter Johnson, Distinguished Professor of Horticulture, Forestry, Landscape, and Parks, and Jonathan A. Jenks, Distinguished Professor of Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences. Recognizing Army and Air Force commissions will be LTC Mike Herman of Army ROTC and Lt. Col. Craig Cond of Air Force ROTC. Additionally, Henry Ditterich will be recognized with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dairy Science honorary degree, and Robert F. Karolevitz will receive a Doctor of Humane Letters honorary degree. Theodore J. Kooser was awarded a Doctor of Human Letters honorary degree on March 27, 2006.
