Abstract
The Spanish-speaking population in the United States is large and diverse. As such, individual perceptions regarding healthcare access and quality held by native Spanish speakers vary widely. In order to provide insight into local healthcare access, a customized survey was developed and distributed to a workplace in the Brookings area. Responses varied considerably, reflecting a diversity of experiences and perceptions. Determinants such as language barriers, occupational health risks, and various socioeconomic factors may affect healthcare access and quality for native Spanish speakers in the United States.
