South Dakota Counties Aerial Photos Collection

The air photos in this collection were scanned at a resolution of 200 dots/inch and the images are stored in Tagged Image File Format (TIFF)(*.tif) files. The images were scanned using a grayscale. The images in this are not easily available from other sources (e.g., USDA-NRCS or EROS Data Center) and were scanned to preserve them for future use between 2001 and 2006. The paper copies of the air photos were deteriorating and this method was used to keep the information.
