46 Graduates from the three-year (2009-2012) Pine Ridge Beginning Farmer & Rancher Development program (BFRDP) which provided Native beginning farmers/ranchers with production and management skills, through classroom and field instruction in vocational and technical areas...provided them with the necessary means for self reliance in the farming/ranching industry. Participants prepared personal ranch and/or garden plans. Most importantly, they received mentoring from experienced local Lakota producers,
