The mission of the center is to assist in accessing census data for effective decision-making by providing data, in-depth analysis, and training to individuals, businesses, and governmental agencies, with a focus on South Dakota.
Center specializes in rural demographics and migration trends, transportation and Indian Country data while fostering community engagement and interdisciplinary research.
The center is a cooperative venture between the U.S. Census Bureau and South Dakota State University.
