Abstract

The product of population pyramids of 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020 for the state of South Dakota and its 66 counties uses U.S. decennial census population counts distributed by the U.S. Census Bureau. Population pyramids are generated using R software, adapting original scripts provided by Nathanael Rosenheim through OPEN Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR).
