Abstract
The writer preparing for duties of junior high school principal after being assistant junior high school principal for two years, has become increasingly aware of the lack of specific information about the preparation and activities of junior high school principals in South Dakota. Because of interest in the teaching field and the position of junior high school principals, this study was planned. It is hoped that specific information compiled in this study will be of value to junior high school principals in the field, to those planning to enter the field, and to colleges preparing a students to enter this area of work.
