Abstract
The author undertook this study to determine how the production and marketing of horticultural crops in South Dakota might be successfully developed to become a significant source of new income in the state. Since the production and marketing of horticultural crops in South Dakota has not be extensively studied, there was a desire to investigate the factors involved in such enterprises. It was also desired to discuss necessary requirements for insuring the successful development of such horticultural operations. (see more in text)
