Abstract
This study is an attempt to examine the hypothesis of unidirectional causality between wages and prices. That is, do wage movements depend solely on price movements, or is there "feedback" from wages to prices endogenous to the price wage relationship? Do price movements depend solely on wage movements or does "feedback" from prices to wages exist? In addition, an attempt to provide some insight into the controversy created by the use of spectral methods to determine lead-lag relationships in time series data is made.
