Abstract
This thesis will examine the integrity of a composite deck pretensioned/prestressed bridge girder after horizontal cracks were discovered at the web-flange interface. This study was accomplished by installing strain gages on an AASHTO Type III girder, obtaining variable loading values, and analyzing the results. Results are analyzed using the Modified Truss Analogy Theory and Neutral Axis Regression Plots.
