Abstract
This study was undertaken to examine the potential use of Class C fly ash as a soil stabilizer. Specifically, the objective of this study was to determine the feasibility of using Class C fly ash to improve the hydraulic characteristics of sandy soil for use as a final cover for the Brookings Municipal Landfill. Permeability of the stabilized soil was examined to determine if any of the proposed mixtures would meet permeability requirements for landfill covers.
