Abstract
Agricultural management systems are needed that will prevent further degradation of ground water quality (Carlson et al., 1990 and EPA, 1990b). The objectives of this research were to determine the impact of: (i) tillage and nitrogen (N) fertilizer band location on N concentrations in the soil profile; and (ii) residual N fertilizer bands on soil sampling requirements.
