Abstract
Using Norton's (1977) communicator style measure, this study focuses on student expectations and experiences of college teachers. Tuckman's (1995) Teacher Feedback Form is used to briefly explore student perceptions of teacher effectiveness to reinforce the results of the communicator style survey. The results suggest that male and female students expect and experience different communicator styles for male and female teachers at the collegiate level. This study also proposes that student perceptions of communicator style may impact their perceptions of teacher effectiveness.
