Abstract
Laboratory, digestion, and growth studies were used to evaluate urea treated oat hulls (OH) in growing calf diets. In a laboratory trial 200-g samples of ground OH were reconstituted with water and urea to yield final DM levels of 50, 60, 70, and 80% and urea contents of 0, 5.3, and 10.6% of DM.
