Abstract
This thesis is designed to identify and analyze the press management styles of former Presidential Press Secretary Michael D Mccurry. It contains brief history of the office of the Presidential Press Secretary as well as a biographical sketch of Michael D. Mccurry. Four press briefing transcripts are analyzed using close text analysis to identify repeating themes of press management. The major themes are identified and analyzed for effectiveness. Following the analysis several conclusions concerning the press management styles of Michael Mccurry are presented.
