Abstract
As the world gets more closely connected by the Internet, the necessity to devise secure comprehensive network is on the increase. This paper describes a fully functional software system that will integrate computer based data collection and storage with the secure and efficient distribution of those data over the Internet. By utilizing the concept of data warehouses reinforced with data marts, this model presents a new way of embodying web security. In the system described here, data marts take the place of a data warehouse in order to eliminate the possibility of interception or modification of the original database by unauthorized access. This system will provide the foundation for a new level of interagency and international cooperation for scientific experimentation and research, providing international collaboration through management and distribution of the data. Our proposal can be applied to confidential data transfers such as telemedicine-based health care services because the security features of the new approach have upgraded capabilities of ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data transmitted over the Internet.
