Description
Sorghum, Sorghum vulgare Pers., believed to have originated in Africa, is a perennial crop in its native land. Forage sorghums are adapted to many areas of South Dakota. They are especially well adapted to most of the southern half of the state. Each year .25 to .5 million acres are planted.
