Proceedings of the South Dakota Academy of Science, 1920, volume 5.

The table of contents lists a note of explanation regarding the financial burden of publishing each year, the officers of the Academy, reports from the Committee on Membership and the Committee on F4Publication, and minutes. Also included is a biography of retiring president, Dr. Charles W. Duno.

The following papers were presented at the sixth annual meeting of the South Dakota Academy of Science held on December 10, 1920: One Year's Results from Fertility Investigation on the Vermillion Experiment Field by J. G. Hutton, War Clubs of the Sioux Indians by W. H. Over, and Nesting of the Red Crossbill in Yankton, S.D. by Autin P. Larrabee.

The following are abstracts were presented at the annual meeting: Some Considerations in Regard to Marketing Corn Directly as Grain or Indirectly as eef, from the Standpoint of the Corn Grower by A. M. Hume, and The Effects of So-called Conjugation in Shelled Rhizopods by E. P. Churchill, Jr., The Membracidae of South Dakota by H. C. Severin, Ortho-Tolyl Phenyl Ether and Some of Its Sulphonic Acid Derivatives by Alfred N. Cook and Jessie Payne, A Study of Canned Salmon. (1) The Composition and Methods of Analysis of Commercial Canned Salmon by Sylvanna Elliott West and C. A. Clemens, and The Determination of Ability for Learning Typewriting by W. W. Tuttle.
