Abstract
As viewed from the earth, the moon appears to move through an orbit around the Earth. There are eight different phases of the moon, (1) New Moon, (2) Waxing Crescent, (3) First Quarter, (4) Waxing Gibbous, (5) Full Moon, (6) Waning Gibbous, (7) Last Quarter, and (8) Waning Crescent. Then the moon moves to the “new” phase and the cycle repeats. This is a month of phases. Let’s explore the phases!
