Description
There are a number of relationships the Census Bureau maintains with each state. States take various approaches in managing these roles. This session explores the various state’s roles established with the Census Bureau and differences in approaches states take in maintaining the relationships as well as some of the advantages and disadvantages of each. The session will also explore areas in which the state can impact the outcomes of Census Bureau’s surveys, estimates and counts to provide for more accurate data. Lastly, the session will examine actions the state can take between now and 2020 to enhance the prospect of a more accurate census.
