Abstract
Membrane processing has revolutionized the dairy industry in many interesting ways and has led to significant new process and product development. This revolution has evolved for almost 50 years and has encompassed the entire spectrum of commercially viable membrane processing systems, namely microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis.
