Description

Xijin Ge is a professor at SDSU Department of Mathematics and Statistics. He enjoys teaching data science through a case-study based approach. He also teaches bioinformatics classes to undergraduate and graduate students. Supported by major awards (R01s) from the NIH, his research team developed two popular Shiny apps (ShinyGO and iDEP) for analyzing genomic data through intuitive, graphical interfaces. In addition to collaborations with many biologists on a variety of topics, Dr. Ge’s group also independently conducts meta-analysis of public genomics data to understand complex biological processes such as embryo development.
