Abstract
A survey was devised using information from literature on the topic of middle-aged adult children and their aging parents and from the study on caregivers made by Gonyea et al. (1985). The survey was given to 83 middle-aged adult children who were employees at South Dakota State University. The results were descriptively analyzed to see if middle-aged adult children who were not necessarily caregivers reported feeling burdened in their relationship with their aging parents.
