Abstract
The complexity of the Daktronics configuration protocol increases message size and lengthens transmission time. A simpler alternative leveraging standard Web protocols for configuration is proposed. The test results of this alternative support the conclusion that the application of Web protocols simplifies Daktronics player configuration and reduces both message size and transmission time.
