Abstract
The objectives of this study were to: 1) Conduct mutagenesis using EMS and γ-irradiation to generate pullulan deficient (pul-) mutants from wild type A. pullulans ATCC 42023 (pul+). 2) Use Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis to detect polymorphisms between A. pullulans ATCC 42023 and puI- mutants in order to generate possible probes for cloning pullulan biosynthesis related genes.
